Manta Ray Dive in São Miguel

The Manta Blue Spot is located in the northeastern part of São Miguel Island, around 25 miles from Vila Franca do Campo marina, one hour by boat. The bottom rises from 100 meters in depth to the top of the rock with a shallow part of 60 meters deep above the surface.

We dive in the middle of the ocean, the depths varying between 10 and 20 meters, using the support of an anchor line as a physical and visual reference to help the divers. In this dive, you can expect to see manta rays and large pelagics such as jacks, barracudas, and wahoos!

This program is available in July, August, and September.

Requirements:

  • International Diving Certification, minimum of level 2, and a coastal dive with us before the trip
