The Archipelago of the Azores is formed by nine volcanic islands situated in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 1500 km from the European coast and 3900 km off the coast of North America. The archipelago is divided into three different groups: Eastern – Santa Maria and São Miguel; Central – Terceira, Pico, Graciosa, São Jorge, Faial; and Western – Flores and Corvo.

Friendly, safe and varied diving experience

My two sons spent three days diving at various spots in the area with Henrique and David. Overall a good experience - equipment in order, well-organized, safe and punctual. Wonderful experience by a great group of people!

Well, The Azores Sub Dive Center in Vila Franca do Campo was wonderful, welcoming and accommodating. Did a dive in the morning through the canyon and the afternoon did a bit of a private dive with David on the Gallery at Ponta da Galera as I was the only one diving. I found the staff helpful and pleasant. Will now be booking for 10 dives hopefully next year. Many thanks to everybody there.

Really magical

The Azores Sub Dive Centre made us feel very welcome and provided all the equipment needed for our snorkelling afternoon. The water was clear, not too cold, and we saw lots of beautiful fish, as well as huge red starfish, and urchins. Really magical. The instructor stayed close to answer questions, and made me feel safe with my 12 year old in the water.

Highly recommend

My teenagers aged 17 & 14 did PADI Open Water course at this centre. Their instructor, Henrique Araujo was very patient with my daughter, who was quite nervous initially. He made it a fun experience & they both enjoyed themselves immensely. While there, I dived for the first time for 18 years. I did a refresher dive with Jorges. He was very reassuring and patient. The whole team were kind, relaxed and fun. I highly recommend them.

Wonderful team, excellent professionals

During our vacation in São Miguel we performed the Advanced Open Water course with Azores Sub. We couldn’t recommend it more! The entire team were wonderful people. We must point out their professionalism. Henrique Araújo was an excellent instructor and we are really grateful for the cool spots we dive as well as his patience and kindness. We hope to have the opportunity to come back to Açores soon and dive with this team in such amazing locations!
